SUBMISSION OF PAPERS FOR REVIEW
JCISE accepts only digital files of papers for review; it does not accept paper copies.
FORMATTING
At the review stage, there are no formatting requirements, as long as the paper is readable and the figures are clear. Use a single column format. If the paper was presented at an ASME, please remove any information pertaining to the paper ID, conference, etc.
MULTIMEDIA
You can include software or data models (or sites to access software and/or demos) as part of the paper. The author will be responsible for maintaining the demo site for at least 2 years from the date of publication. Including such offers for live demos is optional. Such files will have to be sent separately by e-mail to the Technical Editor (see contact list).
PAPER LENGTH
Papers exceeding 9 Transactions pages (approx. 9000 words, including figures) will be subject to excess page charges ($200/page) as per ASME policy. In any case, no paper should exceed 12 Transactions pages. As a rough estimate, count 250 words as equivalent to small figures and 500 words for large figures (half page), and 1000 words of text as one page.
COLOR ILLUSTRATIONS
JCISE is published both on-line and on paper. All color illustrations submitted by the author will appear in color in the on-line version, at no cost to the author. To print color illustrations in the paper version, if requested by the authors, will require a payment of $700/page + $140/figure. If an author does not make such a request, JCISE will print illustrations in monochrome by default.
